Universal Processing’s leadership team has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, primarily as it affects the communities in which our partners and customers are located. Though more and more confirmed cases are appearing all across the country, our team is dedicated to taking steps to ensure business continuity as well as the health and safety of our team. 


We would like to reassure you, our partners, that during this time we will continue to assist small and medium-sized business merchants in accepting payments using our various payment processing terminals. 


For many years now, our team has effectively used cloud-based tools as part of our daily operations. Though the COVID-19 outbreak has brought with it an abundance of complications and dangers, these tools grant our staff the ability to work remotely as they need to, based upon local conditions. Since the beginning of this pandemic, we have been preparing and devising plans to enable our team to be available for sales duties and merchant support, whether they are working from the office or remotely. Through intensive training and technology, our team is prepared to serve you as if everything was working as normal, regardless of the local conditions.


For the past 2 months, Universal Processing has always been fighting this anti-coronavirus battle with our own efforts. In February, we launched the Wuhan Donation Campaign ( By March 5th, we were honored to have over 100 merchants on our donation list with a total amount of $10,800 directly given to three international charities. Given the situation rapidly evolving, we feel no hesitation to step forward again and help out our local merchants in the U.S.


Since March 16, Governors in at least 19 states have all announced policies that place restrictions on restaurants and bars. It’s a heavy strike on the restaurant industry and everyone’s daily life. After careful preparation, Universal Processing integrated all the available talents and resources and is ready to launch a contact-free support program to facilitate our restaurant merchants with their take-out and delivery services.
