Donating PPE to New York City's Health Care Providers to Help in the Fight Against COVID-19
March 2020

The New York Times reported that the pandemic had taken 12,067 lives in New York City alone by March. Even as the city shut down, doctors, nurses, other first responders continued fighting the virus on the front lines. Tragically, severe PPE shortages meant that in doing so, they risked their own lives. Though it was a departure from our normal operations, we were determined to fight for our community. We called on partners abroad and mobilized our team to help secure PPE equipment. By April, we had hand-delivered over 14,000 thousand N95 masks to the hospitals and first responders that needed them most.

Small Business Relief Program

Providing Aid, Resources and Assistance to Small Businesses Impacted By COVID-19
March 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic drastically changed our day-to-day lives. Mandatory closures left many small business owners in dire straits. Many of our merchant partners faced even greater pressure as discrimination and misinformation had led many to avoid Asian-owned businesses even before the shutdown. In order to support our merchant partners, we began offering free services to help business owners begin offering online ordering services. In addition, we gathered resources and offered training to help business owners access to loan and grant programs available through state and federal relief programs.

Donation Campaign to Benefit International Charities Fighting the Spread of Coronavirus
February 2020

For both our employees and those we serve, the early crisis in China left a deep impression. To help do our part, we partnered with Quantum Electronic Payments and committed to making donations on behalf of all new clients signed through February 2020. By the end of the campaign, we had contributed a total of $10,800 in donations to Direct Relief, Heart to Heart International, and Give2Asia who were all leading non-profits in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus in China. As the virus spread and the crisis reached an international scale, state and federal mandates lead to the closure of our local merchant partners. With the situation in China stabilizing, we brought the campaign to an early end on March 5th, 2020 as we redirected our attention and resources towards the mounting crisis in the U.S.
