We were founded in 2003 with a mission to support and serve small and mid-sized business partners with integrity, and to aid their growth by providing the highest level of service and expertise.
Our founder and CEO, Saint Hung was an early comer to the payment processing industry. Hung began his journey working at Chase Bank's merchant services. While working there, he saw that the large merchant service provider often neglected the minority business owners who sought to advance their businesses with payment processing technology. These minority business owners were met with no language support, little understanding of cultural needs, and were often disregarded or rudely treated. Determined to offer underserved minorities access to valuable payment processing tools and the requisite support, Saint founded Universal Processing in 2003. Since then, the company has grown to become a leader in the minority payment processing scene. An empowering force in the industry and the communities it serves, the company now helps over 11,000 merchant partners to process over 1 billion dollars in transactions each year. With service across all 50 states, and offices in California and Texas in addition to its 2 New York offices, Universal Processing has grown to meet the demand for a much-needed service.
Integrity has always been at our core, and it defines our business practices. Whether in our policies or our day to day conduct, you can always count on us to act true to our mission: in the way that allows us to best help our merchant partners.
We believe in dreaming big and we know that the key to growth is all about having the right tools. We're determined to utilize the most innovative technologies and constantly improve our service to ensure that our merchant partners have what they need to succeed.
Payment processing can be complex and frustrating. That's why we make sure that our partners never have to tackle a processing related issue alone. We're there to assist with anything from hardware issues to billing inquiries, any time of the day.
