How it All Began
Our founder and CEO, Saint Hung was among the first in the payment processing industry. Hung began his journey working at Chase Merchant Services (formerly Chase Paymentech). While working with the industry giant, he saw that minority business owners who sought to advance their businesses with payment processing technology were severely underserved. These minority business owners were met with no language support, little understanding of cultural needs, and at times even experienced outright discrimination. Determined to offer minority business owners access to highly valuable payment processing tools backed by expert multilingual support, Saint founded Universal Processing in 2003. Since then, the company has grown to become a leader in the minority payment processing scene. An empowering force in the industry and the communities it serves, the company now helps over 12,500 merchant partners process over 1.5 billion dollars in transactions each year. With service across all 50 states, and offices in California and Texas in addition to its two New York offices, Universal Processing has grown to meet the demand for a much-needed service.
